More than 19,000 dogs entered for the FCI World Dog Show

At the close of the third entry period, 19,324 dogs had been entered to the FCI World Dog Show 2014, which is being organised by the Finnish Kennel Club. The final deadline for entries is 9 July.

Entries have come in from as far afield as the Philippines, Australia, Peru, Brazil and Japan. The largest number of foreign dogs is expected from Russia.

The intention is to showcase magnificent Finnish breeds to the whole world at the show, which is why the Finnish Kennel Club has invited our national breeds from all over the world to participate free of charge. The largest number of entries has been received for Lappish breeds, with more than 400 Finnish Lapphunds and almost 200 Lapponian Herders already signed up for the show.

The opportunity to participate in an FCI World Dog Show only rarely comes up within our borders. The last time the show took place in Finland was in 1998.

This is a unique chance to be a part of a top international dog show. Enter while you still can!
